How do I install the Tech Easy desktop application?

  1. Download the Staples Tech Easy desktop application onto your computer.
  2. Find the file called 'bomgar-scc' on your computer (likely in your downloads folder or web browser downloads folder). Open the file to begin installation.
  3. Find the Staples Tech Easy icon located among your other desktop icons, then double-click to open it.

How do I install Norton™ 360?

Can I share my membership with my family and friends?

Our Share + Small Business plan allows you to share your membership with family and friends. This plan gives you coverage for up to 10 devices across multiple locations and includes additional perks like front-of-the-line access, tutorials, one-time data recovery, and Norton™ 360 for Staples (10-device).

If you have multiple devices within your home, our Tech Easy Home plan gives you unlimited tech support for up to 5 devices within the same household.

What services are included in my membership?

All our memberships include unlimited tech support for the following services (not limited to):

  • Software installations
  • Data back-up
  • System refresh to original manufacturer settings

How do I get started and activate my plan?

After you have successfully purchased and registered your email for a Tech Easy plan, you will receive a “Welcome Email” in your inbox (please check your Junk or Spam emails as well). The “Welcome Email” contains 3 important steps to help you get started with your Tech Easy plan:

  • Accept the Terms and Conditions
  • Download and install Norton™ 360 for Staples to your device. If you need support with this step, connect with one of our Tech Experts for assistance.
  • Install our Tech Easy support button, so you can easily connect with our team. Help is just a click away!

What are the business hours for tech support?

We are here to support your tech needs from 8 am - 11 pm nationwide, 7 days a week.

How do I access the services?

  • To access the services included in your membership, please first acknowledge and sign the Terms and Conditions. The link to accept the Terms and Conditions is included in the welcome email from when you signed up.
  • If you need us to resend the email, please click “Chat with us Now” above and choose “Ineed help with something else”.
  • If you have already acknowledged and signed the Terms and Conditions, simply click “Chat with us Now” above and choose “I need Tech Support” to get started.

How often can I call or chat with a Tech Expert?

As many times as you like, there is no limit!

Can I upgrade or change my plan?

To review your plan options, speak with our team today by calling +18772580369, select your preferred language, and then select option #2.

How do I renew my membership?

For monthly and annual memberships paid by credit card, your membership will automatically renew one year after your original purchase date. For example, if your original date was on October 1, 2023, your plan will auto-renew on October 1, 2024 for one year.

How do I update my membership information or payment method?

Please contact our Customer Success team for any account related updates, including billing inquiries. Our team can be reached via email at memberservices@staples.ca, or call us at +18772580369 and after the language selection, select option #2.

Can I get support outside of Canada?

Yes, as long as your device is connected to the internet, you can still access your Tech Easy services outside of Canada.

Does my Tech Easy plan include hardware repairs?

Your Tech Easy plan does not cover hardware repairs.

How can I book a tutorial session? (Available to Share + Small Business members only)

Contact our team by calling +18772580369, select your preferred language, and then select option #1 to book a tutorial session.

How many tutorial sessions are included in the Share + Small Business plan?

You can access tutorial sessions three times per year (one year is counted starting from the date of purchase of your membership).

When can I use my Data Recovery service? (Available to Share + Small Business members only)

The data recovery service is available for one use per year (one year is counted starting from the date of purchase of your membership). It is available after 90 days from the date of purchase, and as of day 91 customers are eligible to receive data recovery service for any covered device they choose (mobile devices included).
